7-12 Special Education Teacher

The Hansen School District is accepting applications for a 7-12 special education teacher. We seek an innovative individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for education who can balance the demands of managing specialized direct instruction for students using both push-in and pull-out models.

Desired Qualifications
·         Applicants must hold or be able to attain a valid Idaho teaching certificate with special education endorsement.
·         Knowledge of state and federal special education law
·         Strong background in the use of technology
·         Relates extremely well to students
·         Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, and staff
·         Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
·         Maintain confidentiality of staff and students 

This is a full-time position. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, and agreed-upon roles.

K-12 Counselor and McKinney-Vento Liaison

The Hansen School District is accepting applications for a K-12 counselor. We are seeking an innovative individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for education who can balance the demands of managing counseling duties for students in grades K-12. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with overall building leadership, promoting a positive work and learning environment, and overseeing the McKinney-Vento program. 

Desired Qualifications
·         Applicants must hold or be able to attain a valid Idaho pupil personnel services certificate with a counseling endorsement (K-12).
·         Broad knowledge of theories of individual and group guidance techniques, secondary school guidance program design, and career educational information
·         Knowledge of state and federal testing procedures and requirements
·         Strong background in the use of technology
·         Relates extremely well to students
·         Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community groups and organizations
·         Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
·         Maintain confidentiality of staff and students

Migrant Liaison

Hansen School District is currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team as an aide within the migrant program and as a migrant liaison. Applicants should be adept with:

1.    technology/using a computer
2.    possess excellent verbal and written skills in English and Spanish
3.    be comfortable tutoring K-12 students in all subjects
4.    work with the district school counselor to help inform migrant students and their parents about district graduation requirements
